What counts as an active project?+
A project you're currently tracking work against. Archive it and its slot frees up right away; un-archive it later and it counts again. Clients are just folders, so they aren't metered, only active projects and paid seats are.
What's the difference between a viewer, a collaborator, and a seat?+
A viewer is free and unlimited, read-only, for clients and stakeholders who just need to see the work. An external collaborator logs time on the work you share and is free on up to three active projects; a fourth makes them a paid seat. A paid seat ($4.99/mo) is any teammate who tracks and manages work.
Do I need a credit card to start?+
No. New workspaces begin with a 30-day free trial — unlimited projects and seats, no card — so you can set up your real book of business. When it ends you keep everything and settle onto the free plan (your first project and seat, every feature); nothing is deleted. You only add a card to keep more than that running.
How does the free trial work?+
Every new workspace gets 30 days of unlimited projects and seats, free and with no credit card. When it ends, your first project and seat stay free forever. If you added more during the trial, nothing is deleted — you choose what stays active on the free plan (the rest is archived and recoverable anytime), or add a card to keep it all. Add a card during the trial and you won't be charged until it ends.
What happens when I add or remove a project or seat?+
Adding one is prorated and charged right away. Removing one (or archiving a project) lowers your next bill. You control the counts from Billing.
Is there a limit to what I'll pay?+
Yes, in your favor: project charges are capped at $29.88/month (12 paid projects), and every project past that is free. Seats aren't capped, but you only pay for teammates who track and manage work, not for viewers.
How does annual billing work?+
Choose annual and two months are free: you're billed for ten months instead of twelve. You can switch between monthly and annual anytime.
Is anything locked behind a higher tier?+
No. There are no tiers. Every workspace gets every feature, time tracking, margin and profitability, invoicing, roles, and all integrations, whether you're paying $0 or a full team's worth. You pay for scale, not access.
Can I cancel anytime, and what happens to my data?+
Yes. Cancel from Billing whenever you like and keep access through the period you've paid for. Your data is yours to export, and you can delete it whenever you want.
